Our Favorite Quick Service Meal at Magic Kingdom

Lets talk food! One question I get asked all the time is about the food. Where to eat? And What’s the best bang for your buck?

Today I’ll share my favorite quick service spot at Magic Kingdom. Deciding where to eat can be overwhelming if you’ve never been to Disney. There are SO many choices in all different price ranges. If you don’t plan ahead you can easily waste an hour walking around, debating, checking menus, wait times, etc. Most people by this point know about the My Disney Experience App, but if you don’t…. It is a must for so many different reasons, and one of those reasons is you can find all the dinning locations on a map, sort them by price, or type of food. This alone should help you with your decision making process. But I still highly recommend deciding where you plan to eat each day in the parks well before your trip. Explore the menus on the app and get the most for your money without wasting any of your precious Disney time.

We almost always eat at Magic Kingdoms Colombia Harbour House in Liberty Square. It is considered a quick service with nothing over $14.99. We think you get great portions, and great food. Harbour House serves American food which makes it an easy thumbs up from my kiddos. Check out the menu here.

You start by placing your order at the cashier and then proceed to the counter to retrieve your meals on trays. This is an indoor AIR CONDITIONED quick service restaurant. Harbor House is very big, and has 2 levels. We always head upstairs where its alot less busy, and look for a window seat to enjoy the view as we eat peacefully in the AC. There have been some days where we were the only people up there! It offers a much needed quiet moment to refuel and cool down in the middle of a busy day.

The food itself is great. Offering classic combos like fish & shrimp, Salads, chicken tenders, fries and chicken pot pie. Again, I think the portions here are great. My kids have been able to split the adult meals here, eaten off the kids menu, or there are even very cheap sides like mac ‘n’ cheese for just $3.29! We tend to enjoy snacks throughout the park which often leaves my younger ones not so hungry for a full meal, and a side of mac ‘n’ cheese is perfect in that case and cheap!

There are other location. In Magic Kingdom, like Cosmic Rays, where you will find great american food like a burger and fries. I would say Cosmic Rays is a tad bit pricier, and for us has always been a very busy and crowded place. Columbia Harbor House’s upper level is our favorite secret little lunch or dinner spot to enjoy a quiet moment before heading back out into the heat and hitting more rides.

I would love to hear from you guys below…. Whats your favorite spot to eat at Magic Kingdom? Have you been to Columbia Harbour House?
